The NIS-2 registration deadline expired on March 6, 2026. As of now, your company – if it is subject to NIS-2 – must have registered on the BSI portal and must be NIS-2 compliant from this point forward.
If these steps have not yet been taken, immediate action is required: the longer you wait, the higher the risk of fines.
What is the best course of action?
- First, check whether you are affected
- Register on the BSI portal (if affected)
- Prioritize your actions:
• Set up a reporting process (Incident Management)
• Conduct a gap analysis:
Which requirements have already been implemented? Where are the gaps?
• Create an implementation plan:
Including timelines, responsibilities, and milestones
