National Responsibilities of the Regulation on Artificial Intelligence

The AI regulation of the European Union, passed in March (a consolidated text is still not available) provides for a comprehensive regulatory supervisory structure. This must essentially be established within 12 months. At the national level, corresponding (national) legislative acts are required for this. With the position paper dated May 3, 2024, the Conference of Independent Federal and State Data Protection Supervisory Authorities (DSK) calls for the responsibilities for overseeing the AI Regulation to the data protection supervisory authorities.
