| On July 12, the new AI Act was published in the Official Journal. The AI Act is the world’s first comprehensive framework for regulating the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The AI Act aims to establish a legal framework for the development and use of AI within the European Union, focusing on transparency, safety, and ethical standards. The following areas are particularly addressed: Starting from February 2025, the first bans on the use of certain AI systems will take effect, and by August 2026, all companies in the EU must have implemented the new requirements. |
