Since February, the first stage of the AI Act has come into effect, introducing two requirements:
- AI systems with unacceptable risks are now banned in the EU.
- Businesses must ensure AI Literacy.
The obligation for AI Literacy is regulated in Article 4 of the AI Act. We reported on this in our January newsletter. Most businesses must develop and demonstrate AI Literacy, as employees use AI systems in a professional context, making them operators.
Currently, there are many high-priced training programs on the market covering AI literacy, AI Officer, AI Coordinator, etc. However, it remains unclear what specific AI literacy requirements exist, as Article 4 is quite vague. What is important is that businesses engage with this topic and begin building AI literacy. Promoting AI literacy is not just a regulatory obligation but also offers significant opportunities for more efficient workflows.
At ePrivacy, we shortly offer a training platform for our clients, allowing them to train all employees within their company. At the same time, the platform provides an AI literacy certification. As always, we take a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach. We will continuously expand the content, as it is context-based and can be adapted to individual needs.
